Women of Faith

I don't really know how I had never hear of "Women of Faith" before because after this conference I realized how incredibly big this thing is!  They travel around the United States and there are thousands of women attend each even.  A friend from church invited me a while back, and I was so thankful she did!  Not only was it some time away with my friends, we celebrated my birthday and went out to eat and heard some great speakers and singers :)

The one we went to was in Hartford, Connecticut which was fun because I had never been there before.  And I swear some of the speakers had to of had some kind of previous job in stand up because these ladies were seriously so funny.  We were dying laughing for half of the conference- I guess that isn't hard to do with 5,000 ladies in one room.  I'll chat more about the conference later because there was one speaker who was seriously so so good, but for now here are a couple pictures I took.

OH, and I totally forgot to mention we got to hear Natalie Grant AND Matthew West in concert.  They were so so good.  I almost died my hair blonde and cut blunt bangs again after Friday night because Natalie Grant is so stinkin cute.  But, I've learned my lesson that getting the same haircut as someone doesn't mean you'll look like them or in Natalie's case, have a voice like them, so I refrained :)

Photography class practice and a fun project

These pictures are from seriously like two months ago.  I know that because we are at the park and we don't have coats on.  I feel like I don't even remember what that feels like (even though we had a 60 degree day this past week :)  This photography class really gets me out of my comfort zone and has me taking photos that I never really thought about.  I LOVE it and bring my camera with me everywhere now.  We actually just got a flash so I can take more indoor photos, too- since the season of being indoors is coming upon us.  I cant wait to try it out!

Oh, and this window (pictured below) is something we have had f.o.r.e.v.e.r.  I almost got rid of it because I couldn't think of anything creative to do with it, but seriously, thanks to Pinterest, I found this idea.  Who would have thought?!  The decal name was super cheap off etsy and the little triangles are made out of paper and some twine.  So stinkin easy, and I am ALL about the outdoor decorations that don't need to be watered if you get my drift.

Life with Jake

I love these pictures because it totally captures Jake right now.  He loves being chased.  He loves the playground.  He loves saying "again, again."  He loves wearing this mama out like crazy (Who needs to work out when you're chasing a two year old?)  He loves pumpkins and was genuinely sad when I put them away - but his sadness quickly faded when he saw all the Christmas decorations that I brought up lol  January will definitely be the big let down!  And he's really getting into painting and more "crafty" projects.  Friday was a late night for me on Pinterest trying to find creative projects to do with him!  I'm excited to try some new stuff with him soon :)

Jumping in leaves

I have a good friend who I met through a book club out here in New York and her family just recently moved across the state line to Pennsylvania.  Even though she lives about an hour away now, we still try to get together and the other week I had to take some pictures because the property they are renting is seriously so beautiful.  The leaves were changing colors and the weather wasn't too bad so we ventured outside to play with some leaves and take some pictures.  Then, we fed their cows apples and pears.  You guys, I am not a city girl, but I did not grow up around cows.  I couldn't get over that they had cows on their property.  And Jake was beyond himself.  It was so cute :)  Here are some pictures I took!
