Thanks so much for checking out our adoption story :) We are so excited about what is in store for us in the coming months (and years) and hope to keep you updated about all the details here!  Below you can read more details about specifically why we feel called to adopt, where we are in the process, and how you can support us. 

Timeline: 

9.28.14 // Apply for adoption with Lifeline Child

10.14.14 //  Accepted for adoption with Lifeline Child

12.9.14 // Apply and accepted for home study with WACAP

1.17.15 // First home study visit with WACAP

4.1.15 // Home Study Approved

9.5.15 // Moved and need to update our Home Study

12.15.15 // Ethiopia partnership closed in our agency

1.1.15 // Switched countries to China

5.15.16 // Cole will be 6 months and we can officially update our home study

8.1.16 // Completed our Home study with Adoption Center for Illinois

8.3.16 // Beginning the Dossier process

9.1.16 // Matched with our little BOY!

10.11.16// DTC- Dossier was sent to China!

10.24.16// LID -officially logged in with the CCCWA

12.16.16// Our little boy turned 2 :)

12.29.16// LOA - Letter of Acceptance

1.25.17// Applied for Visa's

2.4.17// 800 Approval

2.7.17// Article 5 drop off

2.23.17// Article 5 pick up

2.28.17// TA (Travel approval!)

3.1.17// Found out Gotcha day is 3.20 and Consulate appointment is 3.30

3.17.17// We leave for China!!
