Our week at the zoo (ok more like two days..)

A couple weeks ago Jake and I were in Ohio while Dan was in Chicago for a conference.  While we really wanted to be in Chicago for the week visiting our old friends and "stomping ground," it unfortunately wasn't in the budget for this month.  However, that week we still had a lot of fun as we hung out with our family and friends in Ohio :)  And, Jake was spoiled by taking two trips to the zoo!  My sister in law works at the Cleveland Zoo so we got to have a specialized tour and some behind the scene action with her, and then my mom got free tickets to the Akron zoo which isn't as big as the Cleveland zoo, but they had some really cute, kid friendly things to do.  Jake still isn't at the age where he's super interested in the animals.  He looks at them for about two seconds then he's ready to move onto the next thing.  The train rides at both zoo's were by far his favorite- surprise surprise!  It's crazy how much he's grown since just last fall when we visited Beth at the zoo!  I see a lot more zoo visits in our future lol

This slide was so cool!  It went through the "seal exhibit" so you could see them swimming around us! Jake wouldn't go down by himself though so I went with him :)
