Gates

We had the hardest time finding gates that would cover our split level home.  For a while I thought we would be fine without them.. but Jake was fascinated with the stairs the second he could start climbing up them.  With one set of stairs going up and another going down right next to each other, we knew that we had to do something.  We purchased 3 different gates and took them all back, and then just decided to use gates that you normally would use as a playpen and expand them across both sets of stairs and they worked perfectly :) 

Jake loves it when we are on one side of the gates and he's on the other.  I'm not sure what it is about it, he just starts laughing and smiling when I come right up to it if he's on the other side.  So one day when Dan came home we snapped some pictures because he was extra smiley.  Gotta capture these moments when we can :)
