Our Second Labor Day in TX

For the second year in a row we spent Labor Day weekend in Texas.  We were so thankful Dan's parents could fly us down there and it marked Jake's first flight!  I have a whole new respect for parents traveling with kids.  We saw many crying babies and my heart just went out to those parents.  Honestly, we were doing nothing different than they were and their poor little one was just uncomfortable.  However while he did amazing on the flight, the recovery days were actually what was the worst for him.  His schedule was just a little thrown off causing him to be a tad bit fussier than usual- BUT that doesn't negate the fact that we had a blast in Texas and we would do it again in a heartbeat- fussiness and all :)

Our first night we went to this amazing BBQ place.  It was a gas station turned into a restaurant and you ordered everything family style and ate on paper.  It was seriously so good.  I don't know how Dan's parents do it but they tend to find the best restaurants.  From a purely food standpoint, they make Texas look amazing.

Dan is joking about how I always take pictures of him when he is doing unattractive things- like picking his teeth lol

We spent a lot of time outside grilling for our other dinners.  I can't wait until we have a place to grill. It was really hot outside though, so most of the time we just ended up stripping Jake down.

And Dan thought it would be fun to try to style Jake's little hairs into a fowak.

And don't worry, we yet again tried to take Jake in the water.  Get excited for those pictures later this week!
