{16 pounds 8 ounces}
Every month I think this will be our favorite.. and then comes the next month. I never thought watching a baby explore the world around them would be so funny, but with the expressions that Jake gives us, it's hard not to be entertained. Here are some highlights from this month:
- You have officially found comfort in sleeping on your stomach. It is so cute to see your little butt in the air as you bury yourself into a corner of your crib. And that means you are sleeping through the night. 7 hours of sleep never felt so good.
- You thought it was a good time to stop taking a bottle. Silly boy. We'll have to work on this ...
- We introduced rice cereal! You actually are learning to open your mouth and eat it! Those first couple tries were hilarious.
- It's official. Your favorite song is Jingle Bells. (Can you tell we start celebrating Christmas early in the Cinadr house?)
- Your one foot touches the floor in your jumper!
- You love to make sounds- especially high pitched ones and it is funny to see how entertained you are at the noises coming out of your tiny body!
- Your laugh is one of the best things. We could tickle and kiss you all day long if we could.
- You are standing! (With our help of course :)
- You love to grab anything.. and that includes my hair and earrings. And I didn't realize how strong of a grip a 5 month old could have.
- Sophie the giraffe is becoming a close friend of yours.
- Those eyebrows. I can't tell you how many people have told me they crack up at your expressions and the faces you make.
- You like sliding on our wooden floor. I am excited and slightly terrified of this.
