Weekend Updates

This past weekend was so fun for us because we had our friends, Luke, Brittany, and their daughter Lizzy visit us from Indy!  We are always just SO thankful when friends or family come to visit because we know they went out of their way to see us.  We aren't really "on the way" to anything so you can't really just stop by as you're passing through the area, and there aren't any close major airports so you either fly into one far away, or spend a lot of money and have multiple layovers to get to us through Binghamton.  So, needless to say, we felt very loved that they came all this way to see us and we had a blast hanging out.

We wanted to plan a couple things to do but also wanted to have some down time since with kids, being on the go all the time can make things not fun for anyone.  So we took a walk (it was freezing) to the playground, skipped the ice cream and instead came back and had coffee, and also planned a trip to the water park that we checked out for the first time in January.  We had so much fun and are excited to see them again in a couple weeks when we head out to Indiana to visit my brother and their new baby :)

Here are some pictures of our weekend!

Jake unfortunately got caught in a water gun fight between Dan and Luke
This is Jake's "help me!" face lol

Even though they're dads now, when I look at them I can't help but remember them as frat brothers hanging out in the Beta house at Miami when they're together :) #timeflies

I don't even think this was a smile, this pool was really cold so his teeth were chattering like crazy!  He'll do anything to play basketball though lol

Oh, Luke

Lizzy was a good friend and let Jake borrow some clothes since his mom forgot to pack him some :)  He was totally loving the ruffles ;)
Our freezing walk to the park!

Our attempt to get some selfies at the park with all 6 of us!
We had a great weekend :)

  1. The picture of Jake in girl clothes is good ammo for the senior year high school yearbook ;)

    1. I know, right?! So hilarious! He really didn't like the ruffles. I think he knew there was something wrong because we couldn't stop laughing when we looked at him. Dan was a good sport, too :)
