Our agency gave us the advice to keep your kids outside as much as possible when you get home so they can stay awake and adjust back to your home time - so we did JUST that! As long as it wasn't raining and above 40 we were outside playing on the swings, going to the park, or just taking a walk for the heck of it! Thankfully, it was much easier to adjust back to the time change than it was in China- at least in our own home we had separate rooms to take kids to if they woke up at 2am, endless amounts of coffee, and plenty of toys to play with. And it really didn't take them too long which we were thankful for! I was unsure how Ben would do if I gave him a haircut right away, but he had a pretty bad haircut in China (it had grown out thankfully but still needed a trim!) and I thought if he watched the other boys get a haircut he wouldn't think it was too bad. And he actually did so great! He didn't cry at all and sat there nicely the whole time! (as I'm writing this we've already given him his second haircut and he did well but just wanted to get down and play the whole time! He definitely is our busy little man!) So I obviously had to document Ben's first haircut :)
Also thrown in there is one picture I got at Jake's Cubbies award nights (Dan got there late so I was trying to hold the fort down with two kids and take pictures! That's why there aren't too many lol) And also some pictures of Ben holding the picture that we received of him when we were still going through the adoption process. When I showed him this picture when we got back from China he smiled and then wanted me to put it right back up on the mantle with the other photos. It's almost like he wanted it to feel like he had been there the whole time :)
