I can't tell you how much we look forward to this weekend away. Our friends and their family are so generous to open up their home to us multiple times a year (we already went
earlier this year- it's crazy how little Cole was then!) For the most part it is the same families, even though this time we definitely missed the West's! We spent a lot of time in the water from boating, to jet skiing, and swimming. And we had two soon to be mama's of three that were 9 months pregnant! Bless their hearts for chasing around 2 other kids the whole weekend. These weekends are such a good reminder of just how blessed we all are with these growing families of ours. This stage of life can be crazy but it's so short. So even though we may not have as many hands free to read a book on the porch or sit on a boat all afternoon, some day we will again. Or we hand them off to Brittany's mom who is SO gracious to watch our kids for us while we are outside!
These trips sure have changed over the past couple years. And while the guys don't go out racing on the jet skis and we don't take turns water skiing anymore, it's so fun to watch the kids jump around on the rafts and play in the water. And I think we're honestly too tired to do anything else :) We always have such a fun and relaxing weekend and I'm sad it's over already!

While the other kids napped Cole and I watched the dads play spike ball :) |
And obviously we had to explore the grass as always :) |
This was apparently Luke's victory dance :) |
Do you think there was sun in their eyes?! lol |

Group shot |
Cole was not happy about his life vest haha |
Jake was a big fan of the shades that his friend let him borrow :) |
As soon as Cole stopped fighting and embraced the life jacket as a pillow he was fast asleep lol |
I'm pretty sure Luke was swimming away or something like that :) |
