Jake, newborns, + friends

We really have been so blessed to have found some great mommy and kiddo friends here in Binghamton.  Honestly every time I think of where we are now I think of where we've come since moving here almost two years ago.  It's always hard when you move to a new city and we knew there would be a transition period, but after having such great friends and community in Chicago, those first couple months here were harder than I excepted!  However, I feel like we have finally found our groove and we are so thankful for the friends we have made!  God has just recently reminded me of how He has provided friends for us as I've been looking through some pictures I've taken :)

Enjoy some pictures of Jake and his friends that we've taken the past couple weeks :)

Weddings and Family Visits

A couple weekends ago we traveled back to Ohio to attend one of my high school bff's (and former bridesmaid) wedding shower!  It was so fun to shower her with beautiful things and great to catch up with some old friends as well :)  Her shower was so beautiful and we spent the afternoon eating an amazing lunch and sipping wine, and I personally stuffed my face with too many monogrammed M&M's lol

After spending some time at her shower we hung out with our family's at Winking Lizard, a favorite restaurant amongst our family.  Although it was a quick weekend, we love seeing our friends and family in Ohio - and we are thankful we live close enough that we can make a quick weekend trip!

Christmas in March.

So I was going through my blog drafts and realized I never posted this blog!  (eek, my bad!)  I almost didn't post it but there are such cute pics that I decided I would :)  I have to be honest with you that even though I love Christmas, I am so ready for spring, warm weather, and opening up Easter baskets and not so much snow, carols, and listening to Christmas carols lol

We had our whole family together at Christmas which was SO fun!  My grandma came down for the day from Pennsylvania, Jon and Holly and Eli were in town from Indiana, and my brother Doug flew in from California!   These moments are so rare and we always have a blast when we get together :)  I just found out that my brother booked another flight home from California so we will be seeing him soon again- which means more pictures to come :)

I'm a guest blogger :)

It is seriously such a privilege to be a guest blogger over at Redeeming Naptime today! Lindsey was a student when I worked at Trinity in Chicago and was always so wise and gracious beyond her years and now had two little girls of her own.  She has some really wonderful women lined up to share their stories about how God has used motherhood to change them and I honestly don't feel worthy to share my story.  However, God is teaching me that His story is always worth telling, so that's what I'm doing.  You can check it out here if you're interested in reading it :)

Blue Apron

So I'm not sure if you have heard of something called Blue Apron, but you guys, I think this company is SO great.  What they do is they deliver recipes to your door, with all the fresh ingredients included.  Everything is packaged and labeled perfectly, and it was such a fun way to try some new recipes!  You know how annoying it is to buy that ONE spice that costs $8 for the new Pinterest recipe you are trying?  And you sit there in the grocery store with our toddler spilling goldfish all over the place trying to decide if you really want to spend all that money on a spice you may never use again?  Well, Blue Apron is amazing because they only give you the portions that you need.  And, what is great about it, is Dan's boss gave it to us as a Christmas gift!  I thought it was such a fun and creative gift to receive!  We were able to choose which week we wanted to redeem our gift card for, and they provided menus to help you decide.

I should have taken pictures of Dan and I actually making the meal, but maybe next time :)  I am thinking this will be a really fun thing to do for an anniversary or a special night in.  Dan isn't much of a cooker, but he even had fun making the meals and hanging out with me in the kitchen :)  I would highly recommend checking out if they deliver to your city because it was such a great gift to receive!
